Auto Mac worth chancing at 12s

Auto Mac is potentially well-treated in the 7.50 at Thirsk and looks worth chancing at 12/1 now that he has the blinkers back on.

Neville Bycroft’s charge has not been at his best in two runs this season, but they have been without the headgear which saw him improve and register his sole success at Beverley last July.

He made all that day and found extra when challenged to beat Abidhabidubai by a head in a 7f claimer off an official rating of 68.

The gelding went on to be placed off 72 and 70, and now gets into this seller on a mark of just 64.

That gives him every chance at the weights in a low-grade affair if the blinds spark him back to life.

He does have a bit too find with whispered Times on their running at Redcar last September, but he was ridden far too aggressively that day and in the circumstances did well to be beaten just 2 lengths.

That rival is also no battler and hard to catch right, and at the odds on offer I would far rather be with Auto Mac to turn the form around.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Auto Mac (12/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
