Baby Steps worth siding with at Wolves

Baby Steps has been running well of late, so now eased back in grade looks worth siding with at 7/1 in the 3.15 at Wolverhampton today.

This David Loughnane trained gelding ran very well on debut as a juvenile when a two length third in a class 4 at Haydock to the very smart Soldier’s Call who finished third in this year’s Group 1 King’s Stand Stakes at Royal Ascot.

He then showed a good attitude to get off the mark when beating Lorton by a neck at Carlisle and backed that up with a fair third at Chester before not being at his best in two subsequent outings,

Baby Steps also failed to trouble the judge in three starts this season, but all been in class 4 and when dropped into a class 5 he bounced back to form when runner-up into class 5 at Windsor two starts back off 71.

He backed that up with a solid keeping on 1 1/2 length third to Spirit Of May in a class 4 at Chester off 75 and now drops back down into class 5 company off the same rating.

Having initially been allotted an opening handicap mark of 80, it makes Baby Steps look still nicely treated on the pick of his form for a yard that does well with it’s runners at the venue.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Baby Steps (7/1 bet365. BetVictor, Coral, William Hill – BOG)
