It’s time for some True Romance at Musselburgh

True Romance reverts to the level off a handy mark in the 4.30 at Musselburgh today and makes plenty of appeal at 9/1.

This five-year-old scored off a mark of 65 in a class 6 at Wolverhampton back in June 2017 when in the care of James Given and went on to finish runner-up at Carlisle in a class 5 off 69.

He was also far from disgraced when a 2 3/4 length fourth in a class 5 at Redcar off 74.

His best run on the flat since joining Julia Brooke came in a class 6, as this is, at Wolverhampton in September of last year when a 3/4 length third off 52.

True Romance is now ableto race off a career-low rating of 50 and comes into the race in good form having won a novice hurdle at Southwell before running well to finish runner-up to a Braid Blue at Perth.

If transferring that form back to the flat then he looks weighted to run a huge race in this in the hands of Graham Lee.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way True Romance (9/1 Betfair, Coral, Paddy Power – BOG)
