Bale worth a bet at 13/2 to get on scoresheet

Wales face a tough trip to Croatia in their World Cup qualifier tonight (7pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 2), and although they are likely to get beaten backing Gareth Bale to score anytime at 13/2 with bet365 looks worth a wager.

The Welsh put up a spirited display to come from behind and beat Scotland 2-1 in the “Battle Of Britain” on Friday night and now need  another positive result needed to keep their World Cup dream alive.

However even at the 12/1 on offer with BetVictor I couldn’t back them to win this, and Croatia look worth odds on favourites at a top price of 30/100.

But that doesn’t mean that there sin’t any value to be had from a punting perspective.

Bale is as short as 5/2 in the anytime goalscorer market, yet bet365 will offer you a tempting 13/2.

That looks too big given that the Spurs winger scored both of the goals against the Scots and often provides the main attacking threat for Chris Coleman’s side.

The other bet that appeals in this is for both sides to score at the 6/4 on offer with bet365 and Hills.

Croatia had to come from behind to win 2-1 in Macedonia on Friday night and that made it five out of seven games for them where both teams had scored.
