Bartholomew J worth a bet at 33/1 on handicap debut

Bartholomew J looks worth an each-way punt at 33/1 on handicap debut in the 2.30 at Wolverhampton today.

Lydia Pearce’s charge finished last in three quick starts last summer, but the last two of thoes came in decent class 4 maidens at Yarmouth and Newmarket.

The son of Fast Company looked far to green an immature to do himself justice but may well have more to offer now gpoing down the handicap route off a basement mark of just 46 in class 6 company.

Bartholomew J has also since been gelding and gets fitted with the visor for the first time.

If that combination has the desired effect, and with Simon Pearce in the saddle taking off another 3lb with his claim, he could outrun his odds in what is a weak race.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Bartholomew J (33/1 bet365 – BOG)
