Belle Bayardo run off a career-low mark in the 12.00 at Lingfield today and looks cracking each-way value at 12/1.
Ron Harris’ gelding last scored at Wolverhampton 12 months ago when racing prominently and running on strongly to beat Master Of Disguise by 1 3/4 lengths off a mark of 64.
Since then he made the frame on numerous occasions, including when runner-up over today’s course and distance behind Black Cadillac in a class 5 contest off 67 and aneck second to Jack My Boy on the turf at Chepstow in a similar grade affair off the same mark.
He also finsihed runner-up to Elusive Hawk off 68 at Ffos Las and now gets into this off just 61.
That is his lowest rating ever, and gives him a massive chance at the weights in this class 6 contest – the same grade as when last successful.
The five-year-old also didn’t run too badly last time out at Southwell when keeping on to finish 6th of 12 to Caramelita without being unduly knocked about after dwelling at the start, and if he gets away on terms this afternoon he has to go close in the hands of Luke Morris from his current rating.
