Rudy Markussen stopped Coventry’s Steven Bendall in an impressive 4 round TKO victory in Germany last night dropping Bendall in the 3rd with a flurry of punches then with Bendall on the ropes and in trouble in the 4th the ref called a halt to the action. Another win for the big puncher taking his record to 37-2, 24 KO’s. After the fight Markuseen said”I’m ready for a title fight, lets get it on!”

The feature fight on the Sauerland bill in Herning was 20yo Dane Patrick Nielsen won his first title the IBF Youth Middleweight crown with an easy points win over Michael Schubov 110-89, 100-89 and 99-90 taking his record to 12-0, 6 KO’s. Nielsen’s promoter Nisse Sauerland said”I think Patrick did really well tonight, he was in full control and pleased fans. He has a great future ahead and he proved it again tonight.”

Daily Sport says – Another great night for Team Sauerland with Nielsen looking a good prospect at Middle over the coming year.
