American Andre Ward was crowned the king of the Super-Middleweights in the early hours of this morning after beating Nottingham’s Carl Froch on points to claim Froch’s WBC title to add to his own WBA in the process.
Froch in what turned out to be a very un-impressive performance lost on all 3 judges score cards with British judge John Keane giving Ward 10 of the 12 rounds 118-110 and the other 2 US judges John Stewart and Craig Metcalfe scoring it 115-113.
Froch now has to look to the future and has said he would be keen on a re-match stating on a good night I could be Ward but the best man in there won tonight.
