Big Fight Preview – Alvarez v Cintron

Young, gifted and ginger is some of the words used to described Saul “Canelo” Alvarez (38-0) who makes his third defence of his WBC crown against Kermit Cintron (33-4) tomorrow night.

Cintron, who if I am being extremely critical, perhaps sometimes doesn’t lay it all on the line and lacks a true champions’ grit and heart looks to have it all to do taking on the rising superstar inside his own backyard. But in all fairness he does at least look on paper to be Canelo’s biggest test yet.

Thankfully this is now going to be shown live on BoxNation (Sky, Channel 456), and Alvarez should give us plenty to cheer about.

There is little doubt in my mind that he should win this fight even though it took him 12 to get rid of Ryan Rhodes and he went the distance with Matthew Hatton.

I like the look of a the Mexican to register a points win, and the 5/2 on offer with Stan James about that outcome looks too big to ignore.

Daily Sport recommended bet:

0.50 points Alvarez to win by decision or technical decision – 5/2 Stan James
