Blues bankers to beat the Villans

It will be a disaster for Chelsea if they fail to round off the year with a win over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge today (3pm KO), and they look bankers to beat the Villans.

AVB’s boys looked to be back to their best when beating Man City 2-1, but since then they have failed to go and have registered three 1-1 draws on the bounce.

However Villa have won none of their last nine visits to The Bridge in the Premier League and have also failed to score in five of their last 7 games.

That makes Chelsea look good things to bag all three points, and not surprisingly they are a top priced 30/100 to do so.

But rather than play at those prohibitive odds I am going to suggest a better value punt in the first goalscorer market.

Frank Lampard who has scored five goals in the last two home Premier League games against Villa, and that makes him look a cracking bet at the 5/1 generally on offer to net first.

Chelsea to win 3-0 is my idea of the outcome, and at 15/2 with Blue Square that scoreline also looks worthy of a small investment.
