The unexposed Bold Lass looks potentially ahead of her mark and gets the max bet treatment at 5/2 in the 7.20 at Leicester this evening now returned to the venue which has seen her run her best two races.
David Lanigan’s filly won readily over course and distance on debut back in October, before finishing a solid fourth on handicap at Kempton off a mark of 76.
The daughter of Sea The Stars was then off the track for 208 days before finishing an excellent second of 8 to Extremitry over course and distance in class 4 handicap back May.
She stayed on well from off the pace to be beaten just a length, and the winer is a well-regarded sort who has since run with great credit to be placed twice in decent class 3 handicaps and is now rated 84.
That is solid form in the context of what is a weak looking class 4 contest, and makes Bold Lass look potentially well-treated off her current mark of 77.
Although Bold Lass was then not at her best last time out at Kempton, she was far from disgraced and not knocked about in finishing seventh of 13 to Maria Bella and the return to the turf and this venue are likely to see her in a far better light.
There is little doubt in my mind that she is better than her current mark, and this looks a golden opportunity for her to get back to winning ways in the hands of Ted Durcan.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 10pts win Bold Lass (5/2 BetVictor – BOG)
