Brazen Spirit appeals at 15/2

Brazen Spirit is back down to his last winning mark and looks decent value at 15/2 in the 4.30 at Kemptton today now dropped back in trip and fitted with the visor for the first time.

Clive Cox’s gelding is a course and distance winner who was last successful at Bath back in July 2015 when beating You’re My Cracker by a neck off a mark of 74.

The four-year-old got put up to 76 for that victory, and has since failed to trouble the judge in five subsequent outings.

However, he has often shaped better than the bares result and is now able to race off 74 again having shaped well last time out at the venue over 7f whe  sixth of 10 to Light From Mars following a 54 day break.

The drop back to 6f is sure to see him in a far better light, and taking into account the 3lb claim of Ryan Tate he looks weighted to run a huge race if the fitting of the visor has the desired effect.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Brazen Spirit (15/2 Betfred – BOG)
