Breslin has caught the eye on more than one occasion and makes plenty of appeal at 12/ in the 3.55 at Redcar today now eased in grade and partnered by Silvestre De Sous afor the first time.
Mick Channon’s colt shaped well on debut at Ascot when a not knocked about sixth of 13 to Ray’s The Bar, and also posted a solid effort on his penultimate outing when staying on to finish a never nearer 5 3/4 length sixth of 13 to Pickett’s Charge over 7f at Newcastle.
The two-year-old was then allotted an opening handicap mark of 62, and ran better than the final finishing position suggest in a class 5 nursery over 1m at Windsor when sixth of nine to Cartago.
Breslin kept on from off the pace to be beaten 5 lengths without ever really threatening to land a blow, but was not unduly knocked about.
The winner has gone on to follow-up off a mark of 81, and the form looks strong in the context of this loiwer grade class 6 contest.
Breslin has also been quickly dropped 3lb by the assessor to a mark of 59, and with SDS now taking over in the saddle looks weighted to run a huge race.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Breslin (12/1 bet365, Paddy Power, Sky Bet, Stan James, William Hill – BOG)
