Buck looks Magic at 5/1

Buck Magic is very well-treated now returned to hurdles in the 2.20 at Wincanton today and makes plenty of appeal at 5/1.

Neil Mulholland’s charge has been canpaigned over fences this season and ran well to be placed on a couple of occasions, and was also well-backed when coming to grief early last time out at Kempton.

Prior to emabarking on a chasing campaign he had developed into a useful hurdler, winning a competitive 21-runner contest at Cheltenham in November 2012 off a mark of 118 before going on to land a 12-runner class 3 affair at Newbury off 129.

The nine-year-old was also far from disgraced when 13th of 28 to Medinas in the 2013 running of the class 1 Coral Cup at the Cheltenham Festival off 134, and is now able to race in this class 3 contest off 124.

That is 5lb lower than when last successful and gives Buck Magic a massive chance at the weights.

Another plus is that he has the services of AP McCoy in the saddle, and the champ has a strike rate of just under 46% when teaming up with the yard in the past 12 months.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Buck Magic (5/1 BetVictor – BOG)
