Cheltenham Festival: Tedd looks tasty at 25s in Coral Cup

Brother Tedd looks on a fair makr on the pick of his form and makes llenty of appeal at 25/1 in the Coral Cup at the Chelenham Festival (2.50).

Philip Hobbs’ gelding showed progressive form throughout last season when scoring three times, and looked the type who would have plenty more to offer.

He overcame a 9lb rise in the weights to make a winning comeback at Kempton, travelling strongly throughout before quickening clear to put the race to bed after taking up the running two from home on the bridle.

Despite being far from fluent at the last, the seven-year-old  only had to be kept up to his work on the run-in to beat Silviniaco Conti by four lengths.

Connections then decided to have a crack at the Grade 2 Coral Hurdle at Ascot and Brother Tedd ran a blinder to finish a 2 1/2 length third to the classy Rock On Ruby off an officlal rating of 155.

He was also far from disgraced last time out when fourth in the Lanzarote and is now able to race in this off a reduced rating of 150.

That gives Brother Tedd a big shout at the weights on the pick if his form, and he is a strong traveller with a good turn of foot who looks ideal for a race of this nature.

Daily Sport recommended bet (posted on twitter 4.30pm 15/3/16): 2pts each-way Brother Tedd (25/1 Boylesports – BOG, 1/4 odds 1,2,3,4,5)
