WBO world cruiserweight champion Marco Huck retained his belt in style beating Brit Ola Afolabi in the pairs 3rd encounter winning on a confusing 2-1 verdict which one judge mind bogglingly made a draw 114-114 with the other 2 giving it to Huck 117-111 and 115-113 respectively.

After a brief spell of weighing each other up it was Huck who then took control of the fight from their and got off the better more effective shots.

“Today, I proved that I am first and foremost a boxer  and not just a warrior inside the ring,” Huck told DAILY SPORT Boxing after the fight, his eleventh defense of the WBO Title. “This time, I was in tip-top shape -unlike to last year’s clash with Afolabi, where I was nowhere to my current level of fitness. I was focused on the task ahead of me and it showed.”

Tow other results from the packed Berlin bill are Robert Woge retained his IBF inter-continental light-heavyweight title on points 114-113, 118-110 and 117-110 beating Pole Dariusz Sek and fellow light-heavyweight and Team Sauerland stablemate Eduard Gutknecht won the vacant WBA inter-continent title beating Richard Vidal on points 120-108, 120-108 and 119-109.
