Course specialist Fame ready to go in Again

Fame Again has an excellent record at Wolverhampton and is strongly fancied at 4/1  to land the 7.55 there today.

Mick Easterby’s gelding is a son of Gentleman’s Deal who was a real specialist on the all-weather surface, and has come into his own since tackling it.

He has won two of his four starts over course and distance, making all on both occasions to land gambles off marks of 64 and 69.

The five-year-old went on to finish an excellent third of 18 to Chookie Royale on the turf at Doncaster over an inadequate 7f off 70, and ran really well on his last run at this track whne a 3/4 length third of 7 to Saoi off 71 back in January of this year.

Since then has has been capaigned on the turf, and his last two runs over 7f and a mile at Beverley have seen him placed off marks of 71 and 70.

The latter was a class 4 contest, and he now gets into this class 5 affair off the same mark.

That means that he is now just 1lb higher than when last successful over course and distance, and gives him every chance at the weights now returned to his favoured all-weather surface at a venue he runs exceptionally well.

With Mr Red Clubs, who he had down as the only danger, now out of the race he rates the best bet on the card.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 4pts win Fame Again (4/1 BetVictor, Boylesports, Paddy Power, Hills– BOG)
