Southern Area middleweight champ Elliott Matthews was on fire on Saturday night at the Camden Centre when he stopped Hungarian Attila Tibor Nagy in the first with a cracking right hand which sent Nagy to the canvas from where he couldn’t make referee Jeff Hinds count. Anther win for the Watford fighter who is now unbeaten in 12 outings.

Islington middleweight John Ryder got 6 comepetive rounds under his belt before the endfof the season with a points victory over Latvian Ruslans Pojonisevs. Ryder started fast and pressured the durable Latvian who kept firing back until the close, Ryder took the bout 60-54.

Ricky Hatton charge Anto Upton had his 4th bout on the bill at light-welter beating Poland’s Arek Malek over 4 rounds 40-36 much top the delight of the very vocal army of support the popular prospect brought along with him.

Light-middle Warren Fenn nearly came unstuck with what would have been upset of the night when he went in and got caught with a big shot by oppo Gareth Piper in the 1st which sent him crashing to the canvas much to the delight of Piper. But the Mitcham fighter regained his composure draw the fight 38-38.

Heavyweight Ian Lewison beat Croatian Hrvoje Kisicek over 4 rounds on points 40-37 although he needs to use his jab more and keep his hands up if he’s to progress up the heavyweight ranks.

Lightweight James Chiericato beat Jon Fry on points over 4 rounds 40-37.

Middleweight Graham Tirrell beats Ben Robinson over 4 rounds on points 40-37.

Light-heavy Sam Piasecki drew over 4 rounds on his debut with Tzvetosar Iliev 38-38.

Light-welter Kay Prospere beat Lubos Priehradnik over 4 rounds 40-36.

German light-heavy Yasin Basar beat Konstantin Alexandrov 39-38 over 4 rounds.
