Dominium is back down below his last winning mark and makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 in the 4.00 at Lingfield today after shaping as if coming back to form last time out.
Jeremy Gask’s charge won twice on the polytrack at Kempton last year, beating Dream Catcher by 3/4 of a length off a mark of a mark of 68 before going on to slam Pivotal Moment by 3 lengths off 71.
He then went on to finish a fair sixth of 13 to Apostle at the same venue off 79, and now gets into this off just 69 having posted his best effort for some time at Windsor 16 days ago when fifth of 11 to Sarangoo.
The seven-year-old was held-up in the last duo that day before making headway down the unfavoured middle of the track to from hom and kept on to be beaten 5 1/4 lengths having been given plenty to do.
It was an effort which suggested his time was near, and the return to the polytrack surafce over which he has notched three of his four career success is a big plus.
Another plus is that he is now partnered by Richard Hughes for the first time, who is a rare booking for the stable and suggests that connections mean business.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Dominium (7/1 BetVictor – BOG)
