Curzon Line makes plenty of appeal at 9/1 in the 4.00 at Carlisle today having slipped to a handy mark.
Mick Easterby’s charge was last successful on the all-weather at Chelmsford back in November when bolting up by 3 1/4 lengths off a rating of 66.
He has since been placed twice on the Tapeta at Newcastle off 75 and 74 and is now able to race off a reduced turf mark of just 79.
It gives him major claims at the weights on the pick of his form and he comes into the race having shaped well ater a break when fifth over 7f at Chelmsford three starts back before finding 6f too sharp last time out at Wolverhampton.
Curzon Line also ran better than the bares result suggests last time out at Redcar when ridden too agressively and finisging fifth of 12 when well-backed.
Those runs should have put him spot on for this and he has a near 20% strike rate over the 1m distance and the services of Nathan Evans who takes off a handy 3lb with his claim.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Curzon Line (9/1 bet365 – BOG)
