Although eventually beaten 34 lengths he ran much better than that suggests having travelled very strongly and made smooth headway to throw down a challenge three from home before weakening quickly as lack of fitness took it’s toll.
That race is sure to have put the seven-year-old spot on, and with the handicapper having dropped him 3lb this looks a golden opportunity for him to get back in the winners’ enclosure.
Another plus is that his handler has a 30% strike rate with her runners at this venue in the past 12 months, and anything sent out by her commands the utmost respect.
