Desert Dream appeals each-way at 16/1

Desert Dream caught the eye last time out and looks worth an each-way wager at 16/1 in the 1.40 at Newcastle today.

The four-year-old stayed on from well off the pace to finish a never nearer 4 3/5-4 lengtn sixth of 12 to Golden Guest at Doncaster.

That was just his second start for trainer Mick Easterby following win surgery after leaving Sir Michael Stoute.

It was one which suggested there was better to come and he was sent off a well-backed 9/2 second favourite that day – suggesting connections believe thay have a well-handiapped horse on their hands.

Desert Dream has sice been dropped another 1lb, and having started life off in handicaps on 81 is now able to race off a career low of 72.

It makes him very interesting in this on Tapeta debut for a yard that does well with its runners at the venue.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Desert Dream (16/1 bet365 – BOG)
