The Londoner was robbed of super-heavyweight gold in Rio last summer after a controversial points decision against Tony Yoka in the final – and he could meet the Frenchman again in the pros.

Yoka recently announced he’s going to punch for pay – and Joyce is set to make the switch after his contract with Great Britain boxing runs out in March.

“I’m just getting everything sorted out,” said the 31 year old, “and I should be making my debut in April or May.”

Joyce could make his debut on ITV.

He has spoken to several promoters – and Richard Poxon could be the favourite to land his signing.

Eddie Hearn reportedly isn’t interested in signing Joyce, while Frank Warren has snapped up touted teenager Daniel Dubois and Poxon is looking for fighters for his ITV shows.

Joyce was at his show topped by Chris Eubank jr-Renold Quinlan at the London Olympia on Saturday night.

That was the second show screened on ITV since the channel returned to boxing – and more are likely to be announced soon.
