Exotic Guest has been given a big chance by the handicapper and makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 in the 4.00 at Nottingham today now eased in grade.
Ruth Carr’s gelding bagged a couple of class 5 handicaps last summer, with the last of those successes coming at Newcstle off a mark of 66.
The six-year-old was also far from disgraced when fifth of 14 to Edgar Balthazar at the same venue off 71. and is now able to race off just 63.
That is 3lb lower than when last successful, and Exotic Guest now drops into class 6 company having shaped as if coming to hand in his last three starts.
It gives him major claims at the weights, and having been partnered by Jack Garrity in his last two outings James Sullivan – who rode hom to both his successes last season – is back in the saddle.
