Potternello is back down below his last winning mark and looks worth siding with at 8/1 in the 4.30 at Nottinghan today.
Mick Channon’s four-year-old was last succesful on heavy ground at Epsom when staying on strongly to draw clear and land a 6f contest by 2 1/4 lengths off a mark of 64.
Prior to that he his last win had come on good-to-firm ground when bolting up by 4 lengths in a seller at Lingfield off an officoal rating of 65, and that run shows that he is effective on all types of going.
Potternello is now able to race off 62, 1lb lower than when last victorious, and has the services in the saddle of the promising Killian Hennessy who take off 7lb with his claim.
Taking that into account he is weighted to go in again, and he has shaped better than the bare result suggests in four runs this season and now drops into class 6 compamy having run in class 5 company in his last three starts.
The stable are also in flying form at present, and everything looks in place fr a huge run.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Potternello (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
