Fight Preview – Chris Edwards v Shinny Bayaar

Fresh off the success of the lovable Choi, my 2nd favourite Mongolian appears on British fight cards this weekend – Shinebayar Sukhbaatar or Shinny Bayaar to you and I.

This is a British Flyweight title scrap which is justice really after Shinny lost in the first last time due to a head clash (subsequently the rules have changed so we need four complete rounds before a decision will be made on head clashes).

He is a tough and decent British level fighter who holds a split decision win over Chris Edwards and to be honest I felt that Shinny won the fight a tad easily.

That has left me scratching my head why he isn’t favourite. Bookmakers have obviously priced it up because Paul Edwards beat Shinny and Chris Edwards beat Paul Edwards. They therefore think that Chris Edwards must beat Shinny according to that line of form.

However I don’t agree with their stance as Edwards is an aging fighter who has been on my hit list for a while and is clearly a boxer on the slide.

Inexperience had clearly got to Paul Edwards last time out and he didn’t seem to have a answer to the aggression of Chris Edwards. This clearly won’t be a problem for Shinny who is a very tough and  was fighting 12 rounder’s and for WBC international belts in the early stages of his career.

Therefore the bet has got to be Shinny to dominate this Live on Sky Sports clash on Saturday night and possibly stop the ageing Chris Edwards – thus sending him into a long overdue retirement in the process.
Daily Sport recommended bets:
5pts win Shinny Bayaar to beat Chris Edwards –  6/5 Sky Bet (be quick wont last)

2pts win Shinny Bayaar to win in rounds 1-12  – 8/1 Sky Bet

(All bets recommended on a scale of 0-10 points)
