Skylla of serious interest at 5/1
Skylla has tumbled down the weights and is of serious interest at 5/1 in the 3.50 at Kempton after shaping as if coming back to her best last time out.
Derek Shaw’s filly has not scored since beating Duchess Dora at Haydock back in August 2009 off a mark of 82, but has been placed off marks as high as 92 and is now running off just 65.
That gives her a huge chance from a handicapping perspective, and she was a real eye0-catcher last time out when showing all her old dash to lead until weakening inside the last and finishing 6th of 12 to Red Cape over 5f at Wolverhampton.
If she can build on that effort then she has to be competitive in this, and she also has a great draw in stall 2 from where she can attack from the front.
She showed when beating Duchess Dora that she is at her best at the head of affairs, and she will take plenty of pegging back if allowed her own way up front.
At 5/1 she looks an each-way steal.

5/1 Cackle a cracking bet
Cut The Cackle has become dangerously well treated and makes plenty of appeal at 9/2 in the 5.40 Kempton after shaping nicely last time out.
The mare landed a 7f handicap here last year off a mark of 70 when trained by Peter Winkworth and is now able to run off just 54.
Now in the care of Richard Guest she has put in two really solid efforts on her latest starts, suggesting that she is ready to cash-in on her reduced mark.
She finished with a real rattle over 6f at this track to be beaten just 1 1/2 lengths by Glastoberry, and then put in a similar effort last time out when staying on from off the pace to be beaten just a length by Bold Ring at Lingfield.
Her chances in this line-up are impossible to get away from, and for me she has to be one of the best bets on the card.
