Flying Scotsman Hoy 25/1 for BBC SPOTY

Sir Chris Hoy is now a top priced 25/1 to win his second BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award in five years after scooping his second gold medal of the games, and his sixth overall, with a win in the Keirin in the velodrome.

The Flying Scotsman’s win surpasses the record of five won by Sir Steve Redgrave.

The last sportsman to win the award twice was Damon Hill in 1994 and 1996, and while most firms go 25/1 (from 33s), Coral and Hills go 20s.

Other London dual gold medal winning cyclists, Jason Kenny and Laura Trott are both generally 50/1 to win the award.

Bradley Wiggins the 4/9 favourite and Jessica Ennis a best-priced 7/2 with Ladbrokes.
