Countdown to Christmas

So the winter run in has started, Christmas is coming,  I think I saw some snow the other day and its pissing freezing.

So, the international break is over! And all what I said previously has now come to light. Those of you who have been reading regularly will know we touched base on the state of the national team  and how youth development is key for us to compete in the world cup next year, well this showed over the past couple of games.

I can see what Hodgson was trying to do and its great, he’s trying to bring in the youth and gain some game experience. A few are a little pre-mature a few are long overdue but it’s plain to see he’s trying!

As you can see from “ze German’s” we still have a long way to go, Out classed in every position, it wasn’t even their first team either, We just cant compete against the big teams at the moment but the plus is we are winning the games we should be winning, our country is just going through the  periods of “ old players getting too old and new players not being ready yet”  It will be very interesting who he takes to Brazil. Will it be a experienced Gerard, Lampard and Carrick set up? Or will it be a young Townsend, Walcott, Morrison set up? I’d prefer the latter.

So the Premierships back with a bang and a decent weekend of football for the neutral.

Manchester city are looking a different class at the moment, to stick 6 goals on any team is impressive but to stick them on spurs is a big one. It could have been a hell of a lot more too.

Those two upfront are sick at the moment, never seen anything like it. Aguero has to be the best striker in the world at the moment, Ronaldo and Messi can carry on tapping balls into empty goals in their little league 2 equivalent division in Spain but this geezer is performing week in week out in the best league  and against the best players in the world. And Negrado’s turn amazing!!

The issue with spurs is not the players they have brought in its the players they already have now, Bale was something special, nobody can come close and that’s what they need to realise , he could cut in and score wonder goals week in week out but he’d  still put the ball in the box 90% of the time for the strikers to get on the end of, why is Defoe on the bench? Because now Bale has gone not one of the wingers will put balls in the box thus making the strikers look poor.

Townsend, Siggurson, Lennon, Lamella and Holty are all trying to cut in and go for a worldy’s every chance they get,  what’s the point in Soldado even being there? Poor service and an unfair goal drought for a good striker. The team are a little too selfish and messy for me…. No chance of Europe or title contention anymore, city on the other hand look like title contenders , they just need to pick up on the away form.

Arsenal and Chelsea impressed again, although I am a little concerned with the state of West Ham, We need strikers again I don’t believe any of the crap they are selling about Andy Carroll, He’s not where you think he is…..but I hope he sorts himself out sooner rather than later.

Arsenal are ploughing on! As long as everyone stays fit the league is theirs for the taking but It’s still early days isn’t it? And we all know Arsenal’s track record.

I watched the United- Cardiff game and what a game it was!

You can’t keep Cardiff down for long! A brilliant winning mentality there. The owner of that club is a fucking joke; his entourage are like a circus. Maky’s heads not in it anymore, he will leave I think but where is he heading? West ham? Fulham? Who knows but he will leave and when he does Cardiff will be relegated.

Frazer Campbell was the man of the game for me closely followed by Mutch. I watched allot of Much last season he reminds me of Yaya, I think along with Campbell he’s not a million miles away from a call up.

As for united, they are not the same team they used to be. They are now a top 10 team not a top of the league team. I thought they performed to their ability and that’s that!  Cardiff deserved the draw if not more.

The referee’s again had a massive part to play in the games this weekend! Some of the decisions have been awful this year as for a punishment?  A league table is the answer, we should be able to see who the best is and worst in the division, rank them on good and bad decisions and get them promoted and relegated to each division just like the teams do! Why not? Makes it more interesting right? Some years teams get relegated or win leagues over a single point, it’s those bad decisions that can cost those points.

This weekend’s predictions :

Chelsea

Man city ,West ham

Arsenal

The rugby has been on hasn’t it? Great.

The ash’s are kicking off, the latest is….. We are getting a ruddy hiding out there, it’s the heat see, we can’t cut it.

I think the Aussies may have us on this one. Stay classy.
