Getabuzz weighted to strike at Sedgefield

Getabuzz is unbeaten in two runs at Sedgfield and looks overpriced at 9/1 in the 2.30 there today have fallen to a good mark.

Tim Easterby’s gelding scored three times last season, including twice over 2m 4f at this venue.

In the last of thosee successes he came from off the pace before keeping on strongly to beat Hit The Top by 4 1/2 lengths off a mark of 125 in a class 2 novices’ handicap hurdle.

The seven-year-old was put up 7lb to 132 for that success, and has subsequently failed to trouble the judge in five starts – four of which have been this season.

However his mark has fallen as a result and he now gets into this class 3 contest off a mark of 126.

That is just 1lb higher than when last successful in a better grade and gives Getabuzz every chance at the weights on the pick of his form.

Although he has yet to win over today’s 2m 1f trip, the race should be run at a decent pace with the free running Izzini in the line-up and the soft ground will make it a test.

Getabuzz also goes well for jockey Dougie Costello, who has ridden his last two successes, and it would be no surprise to see him bounce back to form now retuned to this venue from what looks a very workable mark.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Getabuzz (9/1 Coral – BOG)
