After last weekend where Daily Sport and our sister paper The Bet had 8 winners from 10 tips let’s see if our run of good luck can continue tonight at Monmore.

Well it’s semi-final time at Monmore as six dogs look to book their place in the final of next weekend’s Ladbrokes Gold Cup.

A race with a rich vein of history, it was originally known as the Midland Gold Cup when it was inaugurated in 1994 and has been won by a host of top-class canine talent in the years since.

Two winners of the Ladbrokes Gold Cup, Toms The Best (1998) and Taylors Sky (2011) both also won the sport’s most coveted prize, the English Greyhound Derby.

After the opening heats last weekend, the competition is hotting up with two dogs from the three respective semi-finals looking to make the grand final of the £10,000 competition on August 29.

Dogs to watch tonight include the 2019 defending champion Seaglass Tiger produced a seismic display in his heat last week and Bockos Doomie who remains unbeaten at the track.

The rest of the action includes three semi-final heats of the £7,500 Ladbrokes Summer Stayers Classic which includes Coral Regency winner Zascandil.

We enjoyed a sensational time of things last week with eight winners from ten selections at prices of 1/4, 4/9, Evs, Evs, 5/4, 6/4, 11/4 and 9/2 and are hungry for more winners.

6:09pm Monmore: Signet Ace (Trap Three). A serious talent, this son of Laughil Blake bolted up in a Open Race at Newmarket last month and has produced two lovely trials time at Monmore since. He looks the one to beat.

6:58pm (First Ladbrokes Gold Cup Semi-Final) Monmore: Queen Jessiej (Trap One). This is all about the Queen. She produced a stylish performance when bolting up in an excellent time in her heat last week and she is simply a bitch in the form of her life. A repeat of that performance makes her very tough to beat.

7:18pm (Second Ladbrokes Gold Cup Semi-Final) Monmore: Seaglass Tiger (Trap Two). A brilliant semi-final in prospect. This son of Drumcrow Obama is the defending champion and bounced back to form with an emphatic victory by three and a half-lengths in his heat last week. Now he has regained the winning thread, he should improve again and just shades the verdict over Droopys Addition who is progressive but looks to have a bad draw.

7:36 (Third Ladbrokes Gold Cup Semi-Final) Monmore: Bockos Doomie (Trap One). The race of the evening. Bockos Doomie is an absolute superstar and remains unbeaten at the track following an easy win in his heat last week. This draw should be fine and the Coral Sussex Cup hero is difficult to oppose in his current form. There are plenty of challengers, but the main danger is certainly Hiya Boyo despite the draw in trap two being a slight concern. He is in excellent form and managed to win last time despite meeting all sorts of trouble. However, Bockos Doomie is rock-solid and gets the verdict.

7:56: (First Summer Stayers Classic Semi-Final) Monmore: Kingsbrook Glyn (Trap Six). Lost all chance when breaking poorly from the start at in his heat last week but stayed on strongly to finish third in a good time. He could possibly regain the winning thread here.

8:17: (Second Summer Stayers Classic Semi-Final) Monmore: Waltham Magic (Trap Six). Was impressive in his heat last week and a reproduction of that effort from a draw which should suit makes her of serious interest.

8:38: (Third Summer Stayers Classic Semi-Final) Monmore: Bubbly Dave (Trap Three). Showed a cracking attitude to record a half-length win in his heat last time out. The same draw here will suit and if he can avoid being slow away, he still looks capable of taking this.

8:54: Monmore: Coolavanny Dylan (Trap Four). Fourth in a semi-final of the Silver Salver behind the eventual winner. He has since posted two cracking trial times and should go close here.

9:12: Monmore: Shrewd Call (Trap Four). Silver Salver hero who is in the form of his life. He posted a smart trial time and he has to be backed given his recent form.

NAP(Best bet of the evening) – 7:36: Monmore: Bockos Doomie

Next Best (Second best bet of the evening) – 6:58: Monmore: Queen Jessiej
