Heezararity has shown enough promise in four runs to make him of each-way interest at 33/1 in the 5.25 at Newbury.
Stuart Kittow’s gelding caught the eye on his debut in a Newbury maiden when staying on from well off the pace under a tender ride to finish a never nearer 7th of 15 to Mantoba.
He then ran a similar race when returned to the Berkshire track when 7th of 17 to Quadrant in a contest that has thrown up plenty of subsequent winners.
The son of Librettist then went into my notebook as one to keep an eye on went sent handicapping when again putting in good late work to finish 6th of 18 to Emilio Largo in a 7f maiden at Salisbury.
It was therefore slightly disappointing that he was well beaten on his handicap bow last time out at Windsor, but that race was over a mile and after taking a keen hold losing his place at the three pole he did stay on inside the last without being subjected to a hard race.
The handicapper has reacted by dropping him 3lb to a mark off 66, and I am convinced that he is capable of proving better than that.
Off bottom weight, and with Louis Beuzelin taking off another 3lb he looks too big to ignore at 33/1.
This is a tough race for him to break his duck, but at the odds on offer he has to be worth a small each-way play as I am convinced he has the ability to score from his current mark before the season is out.
