The booking of Richard Hughes to partner Heezararity in the last at Wolverhampton tonight (9.00) really catches the eye and he makes pleny of appeal at 13/2 to finally break his duck.
The four-year-old is yet to get his head in front in 10 starts, but has shaped well on his two starts for David Evans and is on a good mark.
He ran well on his penultimnate outing after a lengthy lay off when staying on in eye-catching fashion to finish fourth of 10 to Imprimis Tagula over 7f at Lingfield off his current rating of 65 and then followed up with a solid second to Silverware at Ayr over a mile when last seen in action back in May.
Since then he has been given a break to freshen up, and that could be significant as all his best runs have come after time off the track.
The four-year-old ran a blinder last season when trained by Stuart Kittow to finish third in a 7f contest at Newbury after 75 days on the sidelines where he raced up with the pace before getting collared late on in a race won by Ellie In The Pink off a mark of 66.
Before that he he had shown distinct promise in several runs beforehand without being knocked about.
The son of Librettist particularly caught eye when putting in good late work to finish 6th of 18 to Emilio Largo in a 7f maiden at Salisbury back in June, and prior to that had run a similar race when finishing 7th of 17 to Quadrant at Newbury on his seasonal reappearance after 228 days off.
Everything suggests that he will be fit and raring to go after his break, and given that he is a hold=up performer Hughes is the ideal partner form him.
The Champion elect also has a near 24% strike rate when teaming up with Evans in the last 12 months, and at the odds on offer he rates the best bet on the card.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Heezararity (13/2 Hills – BOG)
