Jupiter Storm shaped well last time out and looks worth another chance at 8/1 now upped in trip in the 5.00 Lingfield.

Gary Moore’s charge was heavily backed when I put him up at Sandown last time out and ran far better than his final finishing position of 7th of 13 to Rhagori suggests.

Held-up, he raced far too keenly in the early stages before making good headway on the outside three from home.

However he could never quite get on term with the leaders and in the end was not unduly knocked about to be beaten just 3 lengths over the 1m 2f journey.

The handicapper has since dropped him another 2lb to a mark of just 73, and that gives him a great chance at the weights on the pick of his form.

The gelding was unsuited by soft ground at Newmarket on his reappearance in May, but kept on well off a mark of 83 to finish a never nearer 6th of 10 to Sparkling Portrait under tender handling having been held up well off the pace.

He was then well backed next time up in a decent contest at Goodwood, and after looking sure to take a part in the finish when taking up the running at the two pole faded late on to be beaten 5 1/2 lengths into 5th of 13 behind Beaufort Twelve off a mark of 80.

The son of Galileo should be suited by oday’s 1m 3f trip, and he will  relish the quick ground judged on his win as a juvenile last season.

That win came at the third time of asking at Brighton where he ran on really strongly that day to beat Henry Clay going away by 2 1/2 lengths on good-to-firm going, and the runner-up has won twice this season off marks of 75 and 80.

That makes him look well-treated, and with George Baker in the saddle everything looks in place for a big run.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Jupiter Storm (8/1 bet365, Betfred – BOG)
