Iconic Figure has dropped a long weight in the weights and looks worth a wager on his first start for Phil Kirby in the 4.50 at Southwell today.
The gelding is yet to get his head in front in 20 starts but has run well on several occasions here in the past.
He twice finsihed third maidens, one off on official rating of 74, and went on run well on handicap debut at Chepstow off 65 when third before being beaten a neck into second off 63 at Thrisk.
Iconic Figure is now able to race off just 46, a mark off which he was beaten just a length into second at Dundalk five starts back for Paul Flynn.
It makes him a big player in this on the pick of his form if the move to Kirby has freshened him up.
With William Cox in the saddle taking off another 5lb with his claim he looks weighted to run a big race.
