Innis Shannon makes plenty of appeal at 7/1 in the 3.40 at Hexham today now eased in grade.
George Bewley’s mare got off the makr over course and distance back in November when sauntering clear to win a class 5 contest by 30 lengths off a mark of 95.
She got whacked up 12lbs to 107 for that runaway success, but ran as if amiss off it when sent off 2/1 second favourite and finishing a distant fourth in a class 4 affair at Kelso.
The six-year-old was then given a break and shaped as if needing the outing at Ayr earlier in the month when fourth to W Six Times in a class 3 contest, making good headay from the raer two from home before being unable to find an extra and weakening to be beaten 24 lengths.
That run should have blown away the cobwebs, and the handicapper has been quick to drop her another 3lb.
She is now able to race in this lower grade class 4 affair off 102, just 7lb higher than when last victorious at the venue.
It gives her every chnace at the weights, especially if taking into account the 5lb claim of regular pilot Jonathon Bewley.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts win Innis Shannon (7/1 BetVictor, Paddy Power, Sky Bet, William Hill – BOG)
