It’s All A Game is back down below his last winning mark on the turf and makes plenty of appeal at 8/1 in the 5.40 at Ayr today now reunited with Connor Beasley – if allowed to take his chance.

The gelding was pulled out of a race at Newcastle on Tuesday on account of the softening ground, despite the fact that he was winning form on it.

Richard Guest’s charge was a four-time winner last year, with his last success over a mile at Newcastle on soft ground.

The four-year-old bolted up by 3 1/4 lengths off a mark of 57, and backed that run up with a solid third off 63.

It’s All A Game went on to land an amateur riders’ contest at Southwell by a nose (off 55) and is now able to race in this off 55.

That gives him every chance from a handicapping perspective, and although well beaten eight days ago on seasonal reppearance at Newcastle when when ninth of 13 to Advance he  shaped as if needing the run – his first for 151 days.

That outing should have blow away the cobwebs, and it’s intresting that Jordan Nason – who was due to partner him on Tuesday – has now been replaced by Connor Beasley.

He has ridden him to his last two successes on the turf, and is now back in the saddle for the first time since the last of those 16 starts ago.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way It’s All A Game (8/1 BetVictor, Sky Bet – BOG)
