Love In The Park is a dangerously well treated horse that has been knocking on the door of late and is strongly fancied at 4/1 to score an overdue success in the 5.00 at Wolverhampton today.
Roy Brotherton’s course and distance has not scored for just over a year but is now down to a mark of just 47 and 5lb below her last victory at Kempton last November.
That gives the mare a tremendous chance from a handicapping perspective and she really caught the eye two outings ago here when staying on strongly from well off the pace to finish a 2 length third to Queenie’s Star.
She was given far too much to do that day and forced to come wide to deliver a challenge, and in the circumstances ran a blinder to get so close.
It was a similar story last time at at Lingfield, where she again stayed on powerfully at the death to be beaten just 1 1/2 lengths into fourth behind Shirataki who has subsequently gone on to score again and give the form a solid look.
A similar effort will make Love In The Park extremely difficult to beat this afternoon, and she rates the best bet on the card.
