Jump in for the 11/1 about Jazri

The well-treated Jazri caught the eye time out and looks decent each-way value at 11/1 in the 5.15 at Kempton today now fitted with cheekpieces for the first time.

Milton Bradley’s gelding is on a losing run of 12, having not scored since landing a 1m 3f handicap on the turf at Warwick last May off a mark of 57.

However he has run well on several occasions, including when runner-up in a class 5 contest at Haydock off 62, and is able to race in this class 7 contest off just 45.

That is 12lb lower than when last successful, and also 6lb lower than when Jazri notched his sole all-weather success in a 1m contest at this venue.

It gives him a massive chance from a handicapping perspective, and he comes into the contest on the back of a decent sixth of 13 to Munsarim at Lingfield where he finished well from a poor position to be beaten 3 1/2 lengths.

That run suggested his time may be near, and if the fitting of the headgear has the desired effect a hugerun looks on the cards.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way Jazri (11/1 BetVictor, Paddy Power, Sky Bet – BOG)
