Liverpool terrific value at 100/30 to beat the Blues

It’s quarter finals night in the Carling Cup and Liverpool look terrific value at 100/30 to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge (7.45pm KO).

The Reds are in really good form and were unlucky not to secure all three points in a 1-1 draw with Premiership leaders Man City at the weekend when they were by far the more dominant side.

Kenny Dalglish’s boys are now on a long unbeaten run, and only 10 days ago came away with a 2-1 victory at the Bridge thanks to a late Glen Johnson goal.

The Scottish boss has now not lost in 12 matches against Chelsea as Liverpool manager, and his side have lost on just one of their last six visits to London.

That’s an awesome stat, and with influential captain John Terry suspended from tonight’s action and Raul Meireles cup-tied the Blues are without two key players.

Liverpool have no such worries, and  Craig Bellamy will return after missing the match with Manchester City on compassionate grounds following the death of Gary Speed.

Jamie Carragher is expected to come into the side and Andy Carroll will also be promoted from the bench to the starting 11.

I can’t understand why the bookmakers make Chelsea red hot favourites for this given the current form of the two sides, and the 100/30 on offer about Liverpool looks huge in a game which they will go into with huge confidence.

At that price with Betfred and Stan James they just have to be backed.
