Lord looks lovely at Uttoxeter

Decent Lord has his ideal conditions in the 1.45 at Uttoxeter and makes plenty of each-way appeal at 7/1.

Jenny Candlish’s gelding showed much improved form when landing three heavy-ground handicap hurdles in space of eight days back in February and has since been given a break to freshen up.

That looks an interesting move given that he scored the first of those successes when coming off a lengthy lay-off of 262 days, and with the trip and going absolutely ideal everything looks in place for a huge run.

Another plus is that his handler has a 30% strike rate with her runners at this venue in the past 12 months, and anything sent out by her commands the utmost respect.

This race is certainly not as competitive as it looks on paper, and at 7/1 I think Decent Lord represents terrific each-way value.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts each-way Decent Lord (7/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
