La Rav has a progressive profile and makes plenty of appeal at 13/2 in the 4.50 at York today.
Luca Cumani’s shaped with bags of promise when a tenderly handled fifth on debut at Newmarket before opening his account in stle at Salisbury when coming from off the pace before quickening clear to beat Blazed by 4 1/2 lengths.
He was allotted an opening handicap mark of 85 on the back of that facile success and made a mockery of it when easily beating Mr Minerals, who had previously scored in good style, by 3 1/4 lengths at Newbury.
La Rav got put up to 93 after that and ran well off his revised rating when a 1 1/2 length third of 13 at Chelmsford when arguably doing too much to soon whne ridden more prominently than previously.
Although now 1lb higher the return to the turf is a plus in my book and he looks the type who should be capable of even better still.
With the ground fine, and a good draw in stall 4. everything looks in place for a big run.
