Lots to like about the chances of Kynren in Lincoln

Kynren has proven form in competitive big field handicaps and looks a solid each-way play at 8/1 in the Lincoln Handicap at Doncaster today (3.35). This David Barron five-year-old enjoyed a tremendous 2017 when winning three of his four starts. Although he failed to get his head in front last season he  did post some tremendous efforts in defeat. They included first time up at this meeting when going down by 2 3/4 lengths when third to High Acclaim in the 20-runner Spring Mile. Kynren also ran well when third of 19 to Euchen Glen in the John Smith’s Cup at York off 96 and a neck runner-up at the same venue off 97. There was also lots to like about his fine 7 3/4 lengths third of 33 to ultra-progressive handicap blot Wissahickon in the Cambridgeshire at over 1m 1f at Newmarket off a mark of 100. He went on to round off the campaign with an excellent two-length fifth of 20 in the Balmoral Handicap on Champions Day at Ascot off 99 and now returns to action off 1lb lower. A revised rating of 98 makes Kynren a key player at the weights on the pick of his form, and the fact that he ran so well first time up last season shows that a lack of a run is unlikely to be an issue. He also has a strike rate of 29 per cent over the 1m trip of this and the booking of Robert Winston to do the steering is another positive as he has an overall strike rate of just under 22 per cent when teaming up with the yard which to a £1 level stake has resulted in a profit of £26.35.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 2pts each-way  Kynren (8/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
