Lots to like about Zaajer at Lingfield

Zaajer loosk potentially ahead of his mark and makes plenty of appeal on handicap debut in the 4.00 at Lingfield today.

Owen Burrows’ colt shapef with plenty of promise in three starts as a juvenile, most notably when a 5 length fourth of 14 to Crossed Baton at Sandown where he led until fading in the final furlong.

The winner is a very smart sort who has won twice since, including a Listed contset at Epsom.

Stephensons Rocket, who finsihed second, has also won since and as hjave the tghird, fifth and sicth home.

That gives the form a rock solid look and suggest an opening mark of 76 for Zaajer may well underestiamte his ability.

The fact that he had three quick runs to get a mark also suggests he has been brought along with handicaps in mind and he has plenty of potential to win races as a three-year-old.

Daily Sport recommended bet: 3pts win Zaajer (5/1 generally available – use BOG firms)
