Lucaindubai takes a drop in class in the 4.25 at Ffos Las and rates the day’s best bet at the Welsh track at 4/1.
Evan Williams’ gelding was a progressive sort last season when winning twice – including when making all to slam Khorun over course and distance by four lengths off a mark of 122.
He then had his sights raised, and ran a blinder when finishing fourth to Alarazi in the ultra competitive Imperial Cup at Sandown off 123 before flopping at Aintree on his final start.
However he looked as if he was over the top at the Merseyside track, and that run can easily be forgiven.
The five-year-old was then heavily backed to win a valuable handicap hurdle at Market Rasen on his seasonal reappearance, and ran with plenty of promise to finish 6th of 15 to Rumble Of Thunder off a mark of 124.
He lead until being headed two out, and was not knocked about when it was clear his winning chance had gone.
Sure to come on for that effort, he has now been dropped 2lbs by the assessor and is back down to his last winning rating of 122.
That gives him an outstanding chance of landing this contest which represents the easiest opportunity he has had for some time.
At 4/1 he looks cracking value.
Daily Sport recommended bet: 4pts win Lucaindubai (4/1 sportingbet)
