Madame Tantzy looks decent value at 12/1 in the 7.15 at Kempton today now dropped back into class 5 company and returned to the polytrack surface.
This Eve Johnson Houghton trained three-year-old filly has only had fice starts and after shaping with plenty of promise on her sole start as a juvenile when third of 11 in a decent class 4 novice contest at Newbury showed a good attitude when staying on strongly to score by a head over this course and distance.
Lady Mascara, who finished over seven lengths behind her in fourth, won last time out off 70 and the fifth home Dame Freya Stark won next time up on handicap debut off 65.
Madame Tantsy then found life too hot in a Group 3 at Newbury when last of 15 to Dandhu, but the fact she was pitched into that suggests she is well-regarded by connections.
She has since failed to cut any ice in two starts im handicap company after being allotted an opening makr of 78, but they have both been in class 4 company on the turf too.
Madame Tantzy now drops back into a class 5, in which she is 1-1, and the return to the polytrack surface may well see her in a far better light.
She is also able to race off a reduced rating of 73, and that looks exploitable judged on the form of her aforementioned maiden success.
Daily Sport recommended bet; 2pts each-way Madame Tantzy (12/1 bet365 – BOG)
