NFL Preview – Dolphins can batter Bills

Some decent NFL action tonight, and the Miami Dolphins get the five star nap treatment to beat a beleaguered Buffalo Bills outfit.

Buffalo Bills at Miami Dolphins:

The Bills(5-4) season has taken a turn for the worse and they are now looking to avoid the third straight loss, while the Dolphins are looking to make it three on the bounce. It’s amazing how three weeks can change a season in the NFL!

Buffalo are the play-off chasing side here but they didn’t look like that against the hot and cold Cowboys last week getting slaughtered 44-7 with the whole team looking in total disarray.

The Dolphins, rather astonishingly, haven’t given up a touchdown for 8 quarters now and that’s a truly staggering feat considering the points they were giving up early in the season. They now find themselves with the eighth best defence in the league and the face the Bills who have eighth best offense.

To me the NFL is about momentum, and to put it bluntly Bills have lost all there’s and the Dolphins are beginning to put a little run together. That is is enough to make them the best bet on the weekend

San Diego Chargers at Chicago Bears:

Similar to the Dolphins story we see two teams meeting here that are moving in the opposite direction. The Chargers(4-5)  travel to the cold Soldier Field to face a Chicago Bears side (6-3) who truly look like wildcard contenders.

All season San Diego have struggled in the red zone and life won’t get any easier against a tight Bears’ defence, which last week forced six turnovers against the Lions. The injury stricken Chargers allowed six sacks themselves against the Raiders last Thursday night and this appears to be the key area of focus in this clash.

Interestingly, the Bears have won 6 on the bounce in November whereas the Chargers have lost two straight. I expect this to pan out in a similar manner take the Chicago Bears to cover the -3.5.
