No Turkish delight for Stoke

There’s a massive gamble on Besiktas to beat Stoke in the Europa League tonight (6pm KO, Live on ESPN), and my advice is to snap up the remaining 4/5 available while it lasts.

The Turks are going to be up against a second-string Potters side as Stoke boss Tony Pulis has taken a squad of only 15 to Istanbul and left out all 11 players who started in Sunday’s 2-1 Premier League victory over Tottenham at the Britannia.

You could have got even money yesterday morning on the home side but many firms now go just 8/11 after the team news announcement.

It’s easy to see why Pulis has made so many changes as Stoke are already safely qualified for the next stage and face a tough away game at Wolves in the Pl this coming weekend.

Besiktas, on the other hand, need a point to book their place in the knockout stages while a win will see them through as group winners.

Everything points to a comfortable home win and at 4/5 with Betfred, Blue Square and totesport they look a knocking bet.
