Olympiakos a Champion bet to beat Arsenal

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has selected a youthful squad for their final Champions League Group F game at Olympiakos tonight (7.45pm KO, Live on Sky Sports 4) and the home side have to be the bet at 19/20 with Paddy Power to take advantage.

The Gunners go into the game knowing that they have already won the Group and are saefly in the last 16.

As a result only two of the team that started against Wigan on Saturday have made the trip to Greece, and despite Wenger insisting his side have not travelled just to make up the numbers it’s probably actually the case that he isn’t bothered about the outcome.

Olympiakos know that if they win this match and Marseille do not beat Dortmund they will qualify for the last 16, and they have an excellent record at home which suggest a victory is on the cards.

They have lost only two of their last 11 Champions League games on their own patch, winning five of those –  including that 1-0 victory over Arsenal in December 2009.

Throw into the mix the fact that Arsenal have lost two and drawn one of their last three Champions League matches away to Greek sides, and it’s easy to see why Olympiakos have to be backed to beat waht is on paper a Gunners reserve 11.
