Sandy’s Charm looks a red hot bet at 15/2 in the 4.45 at Longchamp, in a race in which she may be able to dominate from the front.
Francois Rohaut’s filly has won three and come runner-up twice in five starts, and remains open to bags more improvement.
She was impressive when making virtually all and quickening clear to slam Mixed Intention by 5 lengths at Deuaville on her penultimate start, and only got beat a short-neck when returned to the track last time out where the very soft conditions would not have been ideal.
All her best performances have come on good ground, and in a race where most of the main contenders like to come from off the pace three is every chance that she could get an uncontested lead this afternoon under her ideal conditions.
If that proves to be the case her turn of foot will make her very hard to catch when she injects some pace into the contest, and like many French contests she may be away and gone when the business end of affairs turns into a two furlong sprint for home.
She is certainly no 15/2 shot in my book, and at that price with Coral looks an each-way steal.
